This also goes when you change your cigarette brand. You need time to enjoy the new taste. So, the answer lies in psychology rather than addiction to the nicotine in the tobacco itself. The addiction needs time to build up. Aside from being bombarded with the good image of smoking created by ads, the human psychological factor is also the reasons why we smoke in the first place. No wonder when asked why they first smoked cigarette, many smokers say "It was like a challenge to me. I wanted to know how it felt," or "My buddies smoke. Why shouldn't I?" Well, smokers, now is the time to answer this question: Why should you smoke?

What's in a Smoke?

Yes, you know that one cigarette contains more than 4,000 substances. You also know that most of these substances are dangerous, poisonous, and earn even cause cancers. But that's what cigarette filters are for, right? Wrong! Filters don't have a chance of catching and removing those millions of chemicals before entering your body. In fact, many people think that a filter in a cigarette is nothing more than a trick to make smokers believe they're smoking a safer cigarette.

There's no such a thing as a safer cigarette because a cigarette, among others, contains:

• Rocket fuel ingredient (methanol), which helps keep the tip of the cigarette burning at a very hot temperature to make the nicotine in tobacco turn , into a vapor

• Toilet cleaner (ammonia) to make your lungs absorb the nicotine more quickly, speeding up your nicotine addiction.

• Rat poison (arsenic) used as pesticide in tobacco farming.

• Sticky black substance that blackens your teeth and damages your lungs (tar). Tar is the sticky particles comprised of thousands of chemicals created by burning tobacco.

• Preservative for body- embalming (formaldehyde), which is a by-product of the combustion process of tobacco smoking.

• Lighter fluid (butane), used to increase cigarette combustion efficiency.
